Plaster walls are made with laths with a plaster coating over the top. This is the old way to make walls, and since the advent of drywall, virtually all modern houses no longer have plaster and lath construction. The plaster over the laths has much the same properties as regular drywall, but the laths make the difference when mounting a closet rod to the wall. Although the laths are made of wood, you do not want to screw something directly into them. By doing so, you may separate the lath from the plaster, which will compromise the integrity of the wall in that area.
2Drill through the plaster wall, at the mark, with the appropriate-sized drill bit. Drill bit size will depend on the width of the toggle bolt. Easeus data recovery crack download. For example, a 1/2-inch toggle bolt width will require a 1/2-inch drill bit. Do not force the drill bit through the wall. It will most likely drill through a wooden lath. Allow the drill bit to make its own hole. If you force the bit through the wall, and the lath and the plaster become separated, the integrity of the wall will become compromised, which will lead to cracking, pitting and broken plaster.

On 20th Jul 2017I looked at a lot of covers before I decided on trying this Wallo cover. I had eight 8' holes in my ceiling for future speakers and needed a quick and easy fix.
I ordered the 9' cover as my holes were not a perfect 8 inches. When I got my order I checked them out and thought I could tackle it on my own. Took me longer to move the ladder around then to actually install the covers.

These products work perfectly. 5 Covers speaker holes. Installs without toolsPosted by Ben H.
On 4th May 2016I used these to cover 8' speaker holes. They worked great and install was a snap. My only complaint is that I'd love a bigger option. I had to resort to a metallic screw-in option from a competitor for a few larger speaker holes.
4 Good product!Posted by A. Dzielski on 21st Feb 2016Worked as advertised, but it would be best to get the measurement of the inside edge that is designed to fit into the drywall. You need to provide complete dimensions of product so person knows if they need to modify the hole. 5 Excellent product!Posted by Unknown on 14th Jan 2016I have saved hundreds of dollars popping those round panels instead of paying labor to patch and paint the sheetrock round holes.
