At this level I got a lot of cool things, an animal companion, a single spell per day (as a shifter focusing on natural attacks that's gonna be magic fang) and a few other things. But I noticed that the next level, I don't get much, but since I was going wildshape ranger, I'd get my wildshape at next level, once per day for one hour, but I'm limited to small and medium creatures, and I have really good physical stats. 18 str, 14 dex, 18 con. I can't imagine there's an animal that I can change into that'd give me better stats then that.

However, I could shift into an animal like a wolf, and give it claws via my shifting ability, which would reduce my physical stats, but give me three attacks instead of just two, but I could take a single level in warshaper and get that as well, with more strength to back the attacks up.I guess my question is, what would you say is the better option? I plan on going weretouched master then warshaper, (or possibly the other way around) but is there an obvious thing I'm missing that makes wildshape much more impressive than I think?. One was the best campaign of my life, but once level 9 came around, everyone pretty much knew that the party was broken, and nothing was ever going to make 40 damage a round against grounded, visible, mundane opponenets feel like it was as good as summon monster 5.If you have a fighter in the party, you need to just eliminate half of the monsters in the game from your campaign because a fighter is never going to be able to be effective against them.

I'm playing as a Lvl 1 Longtooth Shifter Bear Totem Barbarian/Warshaper/Bear Warrior. He took a rage variant called whirling frenzy, letting him get an extra attack each round. Str 16 (18 shifting, 20 frenzying, 22 both) Dex 14 Con 14.

Take the feat shifter savagery when you can, natural weapons increase by 2 size categories and stacks with actual increases in size such as enlarge person and the warshaper's ability morphic weapons.Your shifting abilities stacks with any polymorph like class features.Shifters automatically qualify for warshaper (Besides a +4 BAB) because they have the shapechanger subtype. At level 2 Warshaper, you get a +4 to str and con for whatever 'shapechanging' feature you have.So at that point, a shifter who is frenzying and shifting, rather than having a str of 22, has a str of 26. With one level in Bear Warrior, you get a +8 str +2 Dex and +4 con.These abilities stack, being from different sources.So a barbarian/warshaper/bear warrior gets a grand total of +2 Str (shifting) +4 str frenzy (barbarian) +4 str +4 con (warshaper) +8 str +2 dex +4 con (bear warrior) = +18 str +2 dex +8 con on top of your racial scores.

Shifter savagry is far more beneficial than INW simply because you basically meet the prerequisites and it does not stack with improved natural weapon.
