Description: Digitech RDS2000 RDS 2000 Time Machine Delay Vintage Rackmount. Here's one of the best kept secrets in vintage gear. The Digitech RDS1000 Time Machine digital delay rack mount. The RDS1000 can produce a variety of delay based effects from typical delay/echo effects ranging from slap back to long echoes, chorus and flanging effects and on to metallic, pseudo ring modulator effects to crazy modulated delays that sound like the repeats are being pitch shifted. In addition there are also trigger and sampler modes. The controls and outputs allow for a variety of different timbres and signal routing.
The operation is straight forward. If you are familiar with how most delay units work this is a breeze. If you are not there is hardly any learning curve.
The delay range separates the delay times into 5 groups(2-5ms. 8-32ms, 32-125ms. 125-500ms, 500ms-2sec) Controls are provided for dept and width of modulation, delay time, delay time range, feedback, dry/wet mix, and input and output levels.
There are three modes of operation too. There is normal mode, trigger mode and sample mode selectable by a mini switch. Normal mode is just as it sounds. The sample and trigger mode work together. You sample a bit of audio and switch to trigger mode to trigger the sample with a footswitch or the button on the front panel. The rear panel has the input. A dry out, mix out and a phase out as well as a tripper pulse input, repeat hold/trigger/sample footswitch jack, and a bypass footswitch jack.
The phase output is an inverted effect output for getting a wide stereo delay sound. The trigger pulse input lets you hook up a pedal or input that allows the sample to be triggered automatically(with a drum machine for instance) or by a footswitch. The speed and width controls are where the magic happens with this thing. You can get all kinds of insane pitch shifting repeats by adjusting theses two controls just right. What is also cool with these older digital delay units is that they act like analog delays in some ways. Digitech RDS 1900. Chorus, Double, Echo) A few scuffs and scrapes here and there(mostly on the Rack Ears) but as you can see from the pictures. Overall in very good shape. 100% functional, no issues whatsoever. Just cleaning house due to Job Loss. I had a lot of fun with this thing back in the day.
Especially good on Guitars or Vocals. Even used it in my Bass Rig. If you overdrive it a little especially on the Flanger it almost sounds like tube distortion. If you get yourself some foot switches for it it's a lot of fun using the Sampling/Repeat/Hold live for solos playing against your own Riffs. These appear to be becoming quite sought after at the moment for their unique sound and features.

This auction is for a Vintage Digitech RDS 1900 Digital Delay Rackmount Effects Unit. It is good but dusty condition. This is a used vintage MADE IN USA Digitech Delay by DOD ELECTRONICS. SALT LAKE CITY UTAH. I tested it and it is in working order and it can get both beautiful and wacky tones. It has FLANGER and Chorus also. It has one input& three different outputs.
Built in power, better than a wall wart. It has been in storage for many years so further cleaning may need to be done. It may have small imperfections but nothing major. See pics below for conditions of this unit.

This unit was given to me by a friend who used it on the road a lot. He said it still powered up. I tested it and got mixed results. The unit did power on. And I found that not all of the buttons seemed to work all of the time. I could tell that I was getting reverb, but I could not change the reverb settings sometimes. I cannot find a manual anywhere.
